3M Prestige Window Film Used For UV Protection in Ann Arbor, Michigan

We were called into this space to provide UV protection without noticeably darkening the windows. After we reviewed the project, it was decided that we would utilize a film by 3M called Prestige. This film is an IR and UV blocking film that offers very little change to the appearance of the glass once installed. We decided on an interior installation of 3M Prestige 70 on all the windows with the exception of 8 upper roofline windows. For those we utilized an exterior installation of 3M Prestige 40. This combination gives the space 99.9% reduction in UV rays and keeps the windows looking the way the customer wanted. Check out a couple more pictures of this project below.

Some of the additional benefits of the 3M Prestige Window Film we utilized for this project are as follows:

  • Allows high transmission of natural light into your space to provide excellent aesthetics.
  • This spectrally selective film rejects up to 97% of infrared light providing energy savings, enhanced comfort and protection.
  • Low interior and exterior reflectivity lets you enjoy the views from inside, while maintaining an attractive look from outside.
  • Non-metallized window film won’t affect signal interference and is corrosion-resistant.
  • Significantly blocks the amount of harmful UV rays that cause fading, helping to extend the life of furnishings.
  • Prestige Series film can become carbon negative in as short as 6 months from install.
  • Includes a comprehensive warranty from 3M.
